
Dos Bocas is an oil, industrial, commercial, and international port located in the municipality of Paraíso, in the Mexican state of Tabasco. It was built by the Mexican oil company “Petroleos Mexicanos” (PEMEX) in 1979 and began operations in 1982. Currently, it is one of the most important oil ports in Mexico, handling large tons of cargo and thousands of vessels.
In 2009, Dos Bocas registered a total of 1,145 ship entries, placing it in third place nationally. While in terms of cargo volume, having registered a total of 23,437 metric tons, which placed the port in second place nationally, only behind Pajaritos, Veracruz. Making the of the most active in the Republic.
Because of the importance of port, PRODAR is proud to have develop and manage the Port Terminal in Dos Bocas. With the help of PRODAR, the port entered the Mexican National Ports Community. A digital transformation which objective is to strengthen the Security and Operations of the Administration of the Mexican Port System.
